British Bands Playing At SXSW 2011 (version 1)

The first, second and third round of invites have all now been sent out by the good people at SXSW 2011 now and the list-scouring may commence. Just out of habit more than anything – since I’m not b*stard goi g this year (of which you’ll no doubt hear more over the coming months) – here’s a list of the British bands playing so far. As far as I can tell these bands have had invites only, so confirmations that they’re playing are still to come, and you can bet a bunch of these will not be able to afford it, will have other plans, or will be unable to get visas (although The View aren’t on here yet, ho ho).

Outside of the proper list though, I also know that the fucking awesomely good Withered Hand have at least got to the stage where they’re looking for some funding for an Austin trip, so you can assume they’ve had the good word, too. One slightly odder thing though was that Graham Coxon was originally on the SXSW list too, but has since disappeared off it. I’ve kept him on here though, just because I like Graham Coxon, a lot, and it’ll give me an excuse to bore you later on with the two tales I’ve got from meeting him, both of which make me look really, really fucking stupid – so there’s something to look forward to.
