SXSW Releases Preliminary Schedule. VERY Preliminary…
SXSW have now released what they’re calling a “preliminary” schedule. Except as far as the music is concerned, it’s so preliminary that every single showcase is tba. So, what you’ve really got is a bloody great big list of bands, all dumped in there on the Wednesday. Something to while away the time, though. It’s not the most user-friendly list of all time though, so I’ll wade through it and try and get some kind of British thing lashed together out of it. Still, though, hoping for awesome things from the iphone app they keep mentioning.
a quick glance saw The XX, Marina and the diamonds, Get Cape, We were promised jetpacks, lovvers & pulled apart by horses all added. you can probably guess my slant on music from this selection.
Oh yeah, particularly pleased to see Jetpacks added to the list. And it doesn’t take a psychic to guess how mobbed that xx show is going to be.
seeing jetpacks and the xx are touring separately around then they become an afterthought at SXSW, same with frightened rabbit who are supposed to be doing a real US tour. Always love concentrating on artists unlikely to hit my home town.
