As SXSW Baby points out, SXSW have pushed the button a day early on the new site, through which you can register and book hotels for next year’s shenanigans. I missed last year’s antics since my daughter – somewhat  inconveniently – decided to get born right in the middle of it. Attendance next year is a definite though and even though it’s a fair old way off yet, I’m already a little tingly with excitement again.

We’ll be playing the annual SXSW sport of trying to keep track of which British bands are playing ahead of the official announcements, but this year we might focus on the Scottish ones a bit more.

While we’re in Texas meanwhile, there are all sorts of daft plans in the works for us or Off The Beaten Tracks, but we’ll get into that once the plans get to a stage beyond just reckoning it’s a good idea after a few too many bourbons.
